Movie Drawbacks

- Few Boring Scenes In First Half

Artists Performance:
Rahul who played the role of Tyson in Sekhar Kammula directed Happy Days gave a mature performance in Venkatapuram and he pulled off the role of Anand with perfection. He was equally good as a decent pizza delivery guy and as a ferocious revenge seeker. Apparently, he worked hard to build a shapely physique. Actress Mahima Makhwana has played her role efficiently. Unlike regular commercial cinema heroine, she was given scope to perform and she has utilized it fully by giving good performance. Ajay Ghosh was other big asset of the film. He played an evil natured police officer role. Other artists were good.
Box Office: Venkatapuram is a concept based film and the film will surely please multiplex audiences. The movie made with decent budget has high chances to click at box office.
Venkatapuram is not a regular commercial cinema, it has interesting plot and director Venu Madikanti narrated it grippingly. Apparently, he worked hard to prepare an engaging script. Though there were very few boring scenes in first half, you will hardly find any such sequences in second half due to raciness in screenplay. Rahul and Mahima’s love track was fresh. A group of rapists were introduced in first half and right artists were chosen for these roles as they make good impact. Story takes new twists with two friends of Mahima gets raped in the beach. Movie becomes absorbing in second half with Rahul narrating his past and taking revenge on culprits who spoil Mahima’s life. The way director Venu unfolded the secret is engrossing. Police station fight resembles of Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi fight sequence was one of the best parts of the film.
