BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is the most happening favorite for cinema celebrities. From Tollywood, cine actors Pawan Kalyan, Nagarjuna, Rajasekhar, Jeevitha, Sivaji are supporting Modi and BJP. Communist Party of India (CPI) State Secretary K Narayana criticised this support. Releasing his party's manifesto for Telangana for the ensuing general elections, Narayana said that the CPI's manifesto focuses on overall development of the new State with special emphasis on distribution of land among the poor, housing schemes benefiting all sections of the society, augmentation of drinking water resources, improvement in irrigation facilities, eradication of unemployment, poverty alleviation, equal opportunities for all and steps to curb communalism.

"Pawan Kalyan and Nagarjuna meeting a communal leader Narendra Modi sent a wrong signal among the people that film industry too is divided on communal lines. Modi's hands are stained with the blood of innocents," Narayana said. He hoped that the Congress-CPI alliance would win the next elections in Telangana.
